De Donatis & Partners – E-commerce with a volume discount scheme

WooCommerce shop for a marketing and events agency featuring dynamic volume-based pricing and a quote request system. Bilingual (German/French).

Challenge

The marketing and events agency De Donatis & Partners, based in Biel, needed a professional online shop for printed materials and promotional items. The key requirement was that customers should be able to see immediately how prices decrease for larger order quantities. In addition, a quotation request system was needed for bespoke projects that cannot be ordered as standard items.

Solution

In collaboration with the design agency Pe-Art.ch, I developed the supplied design in WordPress/WooCommerce and implemented the following features:

  • WooCommerce shop with over 50 products in 11 categories
  • Dynamic volume pricing (price adjusts automatically to the order quantity)
  • Quotation request form for bespoke projects with options for delivery times and file checks
  • CSV import for efficient product management
  • Bilingual (DE/FR) with WPML
  • Product categories: Posters, Office supplies, Displays, Large formats, Events, Catering, and much more

Results

Customers can order printed materials directly online and see immediately how volume discounts affect the price. A quotation form is available for complex projects. Shop operators can easily update products and prices via CSV.

    Automatic price adjustment based on order quantity – customers can see their savings straight away.

    Volume-based pricing is essential for printed materials. The more flyers, business cards or posters you order, the lower the unit price becomes.

    With WooCommerce Tiered Pricing, I have implemented a system that:

    • Allows for multiple price tiers per product
    • Automatically calculates the price when the customer changes the quantity
    • Displays the savings transparently
    • Works for both B2C and B2B customers

  • Efficient product management via CSV

    Bulk import and update of products and prices via CSV file.

    With over 50 products and complex pricing structures, manual maintenance would be time-consuming. The CSV import allows you to:

    • Quick creation of new products
    • Bulk updating of prices
    • Import of product variants and quantity scales
    • Time-saving product maintenance for the customer
